How to Choose the Right OUSON Blood Pressure Cuff Size
A cuff marked “Large” is not a clothing size. The useful number is the arm-circumference range printed on it. Choose for the person who will wear the cuff and confirm that it is compatible with the monitor.
Check your upper-arm circumference
Measure around the bare upper arm at the cuff position described in your device instructions, using a flexible measuring tape. Read the result in centimetres and compare it with the cuff's stated range. If you are unsure of the position or fit, ask a pharmacist or healthcare professional to demonstrate.
An incorrect cuff size can affect the reading. The American Heart Association advises measuring your arm and checking cuff fit when choosing a monitor.
OUSON cuff ranges at a glance
- XS: 17–22 cm. View the XS replacement cuff.
- Standard: 22–32 cm. Included in the monitor packages described below; check availability with OUSON if you need a separate replacement.
- Large: 22–48 cm. View the Large replacement cuff.
- Extra Large: 22–52 cm. View the XL replacement cuff.
The listed cuffs are for adults aged 18 and above. An XS cuff is not a recommendation to use an adult monitor on a child.
Check compatibility as well as size
The OUSON XS, Large and XL replacement-cuff listings name Travel Lite, Home Pro and Senior Elite as compatible monitors. Do not assume that the same cuff fits a different brand because the tube connector looks similar. Send OUSON the exact monitor model and cuff label if you need help identifying a replacement.
For a new monitor, Home Pro offers Large, XS and XL options. Senior Elite offers Extra Large and XS. Both include an extra Standard cuff with each option. Travel Lite offers Standard, XS, Large and XL; only its XS, Large and XL options include the extra Standard cuff.
Three checks before ordering
- Write down the intended user's arm circumference.
- Match it to the selected cuff range, not just the product photograph.
- Confirm the monitor model and the number of cuffs in the selected package.
If two cuff ranges overlap, ask for help with fit rather than assuming the larger label is better. If your measurement is outside the listed ranges, contact OUSON before buying.
